Product description SILRES? BS 1340 is a nonionic, solvent-free, waterdilutable emulsion of a reactive polysiloxane. Application SILRES? BS 1340 is used in undiluted form as a hydrophobizing additive for aqueous masonry paints or plasters to increase water repellency, water resistance and water vapour permeability as well as to enhance processability and anti-blocking properties. Suitable for: - silicone resin emulsion paints and silicone resin emulsion plasters - silicate emulsion paints and plasters - highly-filled emulsion-based coatings - emulsion-modified whitewash - stoppers Paints and plasters modified SILRES? BS 1340 are characterized by an excellent water beading effect. Processing SILRES? BS 1340 can be added in undiluted form to aqueous masonry paints or plasters during or after their production. The addition of 1 to 3 wt.-% is recommended. Storage The 'Best use before end' date of each batch is shown on the product label. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
